The Housing Coalition has a standing Review Team which reviews housing proposals. Prior to the Housing Coalition lending any level of support to a project, the developer must meet with the Review Team. As fully outlined in the Review Process, all discussions and material are confidential until a decision is rendered. The purpose is not to add another layer to the regulatory process, but rather to help make an application stronger by giving the applicant timely and informed feedback before entering the permitting phase. The goal is to assist in reducing the time a developer will spend in permitting and to assist in finding new solutions to incorporating workforce housing into a project, while at the same time giving community members a vehicle to become more informed about responsible housing proposals, so they can make an educated and informed decision based on the facts.

Housing Projects We Support
Through the lens of our Project Endorsement Guidelines, the Housing Coalition’s Review Team looks over applications for housing in the region. Those that are judged as at least consistent with our Guidelines are ones we believe deserve support and encourage those who live and/or work in those communities to learn more and consider expressing support to the appropriate entities either in person or via letter/email. If you need further information, do not hesitate to contact the Coalition.
